TEARS OF FATE

Yet another wonderful day passed by
joy and merry was the earth and the sky
the sun beamed brightly and winking at all
While the flowers dancing and swaying tall
the brook playing the melodious harp
pebbles like it's string made the music sharp.

Yet another wonderful night passed by
the lonesome wind sung an old lullaby
took the weary flowers and the leaves
to their deep slumber and to peace
and the night was left alone for a battle
the lords of darkness ready to rattle.

But why the same sad black cloud
hovering over me amid a cheerful world
leaving my visage that turned so pale
struggled hard to hide it under a veil
the happy sunshine and the balmy breeze
stood aloof only for me to gaze.

Made me think of the futility of god
drives one to hold the dagger and the sword
an one time devotee ,now an atheist
daring .even to take arms against the priest
anger and anguish spreads through the veins
finding a way to escape the pains.

Neither found any heavenly hand
nor any magic wand
was at awe when entered this gambling game
marred my own destiny and none to blame
mistook a violet to be an evergreen flower
a wreath of thorn embroidered my bridal bower.

Picked the wrong hand and made the heavenly vow
all in the name of a truthful love
now it's just a bond, not of love but of fate
lost count of the times we used to date
life is indeed a strange game of fun
and a loveless life is the holy prize I'd won.
